Graffiti wall recommendations from ABC Committee

The following recommendations from the Arts, Beautification and Culture committee will be presented to the VNC Board on September 19th regarding the Venice Garffiti Wall.

The VNC ABC Committee recommends that the board:

1) Support the retention of the Venice Graffiti Walls as an area of historic interest and a cultural resource, in concert with measures to mitigate vandalism and other negative impacts on the community.

2) Defines Venice as a "Tag Free Zone".

3) Support the hiring of monitors to locate tags on a daily basis and report the tags to the City of LA for removal starting with the Boardwalk area.

4) Support the installation of 3D signage in the Venice Graffiti Walls Art Park that explains the rules of the park and provides contact telephone and web site information.
